Veteran Volunteer January 4th 1864 at Indianola, Texas, mustered out September 4th 1865 at Mobile, Alabama.

Participated in actions at Bayou Cache, Arkansas, Port Gibson, Champion's Hill, Black River Bridge, siege of Vicksburg, Siege of Jackson, Mississippi, siege and charge at Fort Blakely, Alabama.
