Enlisted July 29th 1862 Oregon, Wisconsin by J. Bull for three years, mustered in August 30th 1862 Madison, Wisconsin.

Left in hospital, Falmouth, Kentucky sick, October 14th 1862, in hospital, Milliken's Bend, Louisiana, April 5th 1863, transferred to Madison, Wisconsin where he joined the Veteran's Reserve Corps April 10th 1864, he mustered out from VRC in Milwaukee, Wisconsin August 19th 1865.
